Finally, and after infinite delays, the new MKW is here!
I bet you’re pleased with the new look, as you can see, the site has been completely redesigned, although I prefer the term realigned, as I learned in this article from A List Apart, you might want to read it if you’re a webmaster or a designer.
But the look isn’t the only thing that changed, the site’s sections’ order has been completely renewed, now you won’t find a huge endless lists of sections with the same game categories for each, instead of that, you’ll find the MK games listed as sections with everything else that belongs to that game as a category.
Inside each game section you’ll be able to Select Your Fighter, after you do that you’ll get a complete page with everything related to the fighter you chose: Biography, Sprites, Movelist, Ending, Renders and/or other pictures depending of the game, inside the Sprites section you’ll find Animations, Props and obviously the Sprites that are now categorized for you to easily find them, inside the Movelist section you’ll find the instructions to perform Special Moves, Combos and Finishers, along with the famous Fatality Theater, everything comes in 6 different and attractive themes.
One of MKW6’s biggest and new features is the inclusion of complete spritesheets, the layout was thought to contain all the sprites for each character from each MK game, categorized as I stated before. The point of this is that sometime in the near future the site will archieve the goal of having ALL the sprites for every fighter from MK1 to UMK3. And we’ve already started working for that, because we already have the complete spritesheets for every playable character from Mortal Kombat 1! But that’s not all, there are a couple of characters who also got their complete spritesheets, here are the details:

Besides that there are a lot of characters that have more than a hundred of sprites but aren’t categorized yet.
As you’ve probably figured it out already, the new goal of the site is to have EVERY sprite and prop from MK1 to UMK3, goal that I hope to score in less than one year.
Finally, I just wanted to thank all the usual visitors of this site who had the patience to wait for this version of the site, there were many delays that weren’t fault of my cronical lazyness, like getting a job, final tests of my last year of school, a social life and time spent playing PS2.
I also should mention that the site is currently in a stage of beta, since there are a couple of things that need to be uploaded yet, if you really need something that is not yet available, leave a message here asking for it and I’ll put it up as soon as possible, same thing goes for finding typos (I hope they’re not common) and mistakes, on top of that I’ll work on the bugs that have been already submitted to me via email, along with making the “More Games” section, add more links to the RSS feed (like those buttons for My Yahoo! and My MSN) and fixing bugs over MKO’s games section.

Update: I've fixed some mistakes and uploaded Rain sprites, I'm aware that there are a couple of things missing and I've already made a list so I will able to upload them tomorrow if I manage to wake up earlier than 3 PM.

Yesterday, I came here to see something about someone’s bio and I found a black page with no link. I managed to find some of the pages by going trough my post history but everything ended up not working.
I’m glad the website is updated to his new version and I LOVE the new design.

I don’t like it.
It looks like something a 9 year old could do.
The gradients look horribly aweful, the rounded corners don’t look at all good, I hate the color-scheme (though that’s a personal opinion), and you suck at XHTML (like MKO.com, so I guess you’re in good hands).
On top of all that, most of your CSS styles completely bug out (except the Wiki theme, which I do like).
Anyway… I dunno.
I won´t tell my name because it doesn´t really matter, I will just say that your page´s new version is awesome¡¡¡¡¡¡ Now that it has more sprite sheets and MK deception included. Good job man, keep up the hard work.

I was just wondering… could you get the Rain sprites up soon? I was in the middle of makeing a mortal kombat fan movie with Rain in it. I also use the Rain sprite for a lot of other things. I’m really enjoying the new site tho.

The sites a little hard to navigate compared to the previous version but hey nice work, keep it up. Its just hard to find sprites of some characters since you used to have a Mortal kombat trilogy section.

Wow, maybe this comments will turn soon into a forum. Anyway, the page has really good things, and BTW, in the last version of MKW, the spear could be found in the fireball props, in case you did´nt knew about it, so it must be the same here.

plus Johnny Cage “complete sheet” is missing his SHADOW KICK special, and I doubt everyone can add green glowing effects on his kicking sprites. :/
Oh, c´mon guys, at least some congratulations for the good work. You all must know, that sprite ripping is hard, you can´t expect to have all the sprites in one day. YOu know he is going to make updates (duh, that´s quite obvios) so give him some time, he just opened the new version, and included MK deception( a new game to include, could be easy, but it takes time)
If you see some mistakes, maybe for now, you must tell it to him by mail, not in the new version of his page.
I know his page still has some missing things, but You all must trust in Murdoink ( I know he will make it(that sound like….I don´t know))
Eh , I like the Zaterra theme,reminds me of the old days. and I like the wiki theme too. But besides that , you should have left the content menu the old way.

It’s here…finally. But you made a mistake. In Scorpion’s MK1 fatality, it DOES NOT have the same animation as an uppercut! He takes off his mask and spits a fireball at them!
You guys should add some smaller sprites. I found that while making them smaller they tend to lose invisable backgrounds.
Over all I like the look of some of the themes regardless of their not so professional looks. I will not make fun of it anyway due to the fact that I know very little HTML and it’s rude to bash someone’s work in that respect. I request a “standard theme” sometime in the future with a banner that looks like a warehouse with the crates having the MK dragon on them this would be a nice touch. If I knew how to make the dragon logo I would do it myself as an example. The only real complaint I have are some grammatical errors here and there.
I believe it would be a HUGE HELP to sprite comic makers if you were to package all of the complete spritesheets in a zip file including all the gifs seprate so that they dont have to copy them one by one or take a screenshot and cut them out in photoshop. it will save people a lot of time especially the new comic makers who have no sprites on their hard drive.
Wow , for a long time , the update is awesome ! I like the new style in here , the other one didnt use many pallete colors for the boxes , etc. Its also good that you shorten some names in the bar with puting in the mk names . I really like it , gj !
